Can the way your home looks make your kids happy?

Do children feel (and grow) better in a tidy, empty house? Or in one that is packed up with memorabilia and decorations?

Perhaps it is no coincidence that the great modernist master, Le Corbusier, had no children. How to imagine his skimpy interiors besieged by felt-tip pens, cars and Lego? After all, as Jacques Tati had already envisaged in the 50s with Mon Oncle, rationalist houses and children do not get along (the protagonist of his film, little Gérard, hated his villa’s right angles, concrete and technologies and dreamed of getting dirty in the street with the sons of the workers of the village). But is it really like that? How do you grow in an “empty” house?
