Grand Canyon of Yellowstone

Our last day in Yellowstone was spent on the Grand Canyon section. It was beautiful. We started off our day with Brink of the Lower falls. The brink of the upper falls was closed.

The way down to the brink was easy as it was down slope. It should have been around a mile but on the way up it was not so easy. It was a climb but well worth it. The view was just gorgeous. We were at the start of the falls and you can see the water gushing. The force was enormous. The canyon itself reminded me of the Grand canyon, AZ and black canyon, CO. The mist from the falls was just spectacular. Yellowstone has it all doesn’t it? The pretty waterfalls, lakes, mountain views, canyon views, Geysers.. and oh oh wildlife.

We could see Uncle Tom’s trail from this point, which is where we were headed next. It is 328 stairs descend to a closer view of the falls. We could see a rainbow.

We stopped at few other view points along the way.

On our way we stopped at the Mud volcano and Sulphur caldron. Both these places stunk. So we made it a quick stop. The dragon’s mouth spring was interesting to look at. It also gives an audio effect.

We spend sometime on the Yellowstone lake before we headed to the campground.
