Is Health really the Wealth?

Health is wealth! This is said enough but believed and realized scarcely. I would rather say that Health is Happiness and Content because when we are healthy we do have enough power to achieve any feat we want to because our body and mind support us to do so. But are we really serious about it? Well, the reality is that most of us are not and the biggest reason behind our ignorance might be the lack of knowledge that how important our health is or predominantly, not considering it that serious to grab our necessary attention. So is this really serious?

Just an example here would make us think about its seriousness. If you are a 90s kid, then most probably you must have seen your parents’ wedding photographs. The one thing that might be common among most of those photographs and today is that our parents were all fit at that time and obese/unfit today. Now, we might think that it's because of age but in my opinion, it is not (as we can easily find many people who are serious about their health are fit even in their 50s and 60s or even above), rather, it’s because of today’s sedentary lifestyle and eating habits which were not the case before.

Now, contemplate about ourselves, we have adopted this lifestyle much before than them and plausibly we are in the unfit category much before their age. The food and lifestyle today around us made them unfit despite their fitness at a young age, so think, what would be the impact on us who have grown young in these conditions and will continue in possibly the worse lifestyle till we get old (if we!). This is a big emergency in the pipeline of world challenges and no one bats an eye. Even if we keep the future aside, our present is also in the need to be healthy. There are uncountable things that are affecting our lives at present adversely because of bad health like laziness, fatigue, back pain(nowadays, common in youngsters), mood swings, bad physique and what not. But if we want ourselves to be secured then working on precautions is the only way to do it. No curing pill will ever help us to be proactive and healthy. You know, “Precaution is way better than cure”. Now, we know precaution is the way but how to do that?

Will answer the “how” from the next blog. Till then, think about why you think you should be healthy and can you be ever healthy with your current lifestyle. Because, we definitely need a solid reason to do this.
